Priyanka makes India proud by having her dream wedding here

Priyanka Chopra has made India proud ever since she won the Miss World pageant in 2000, the beauty has at present come a long way from being a girl from Bareilly to an International icon with a humongous fan following a feat few actors of B-town can boast of. Today, when other big names of Bollywood flew far from country shores world to tie the knot,  the actress made the country proud by taking her wedding vows with beau Nick Jonas here.

Yes, by marrying in India, Priyanka has shown everyone in the world that India too has picturesque wedding locations. She has put her country on the world map all over again. Since the international media is closely following her wedding , all the people out there are now introduced to Indian customs and traditions.

She has also respected her husband’s traditions and tied the knot as per Christian wedding at Umaid Bhavan Palace in the presence of family and friends. The ceremony was officiated by her father-in-law Paul Kevin Jonas Senior who even walked her down the aisle when Peecee became emotional missing her father during the ceremony.

One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part of the pre wedding rituals for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed. @nickjonas

The couple has tied the knot as per Hindu tradition too at the same venue with the guests being served the finest wine and five-course meal.

The newlyweds will be hosting a reception in Delhi on December 4 which will reportedly be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other dignitaries. They will next hold a bash for their Bollywood friends in Mumbai.
