Expressing his opinion, Sinha took to Twitter and wrote, “Sir ji! Please break your silence and contradict former French President Hollande (since both of you were present in meeting)….otherwise people will think he is speaking the truth.”

The lawmaker from Patna Sahib was referring to the the acquisition of 36 Rafale jets by the Indian government by signing a deal with the French government in 2016. Prime Minister had met President Francois Hollande for the deal and then Union finance minister Manohar Parrikar met his French counterpart.

Opposition Congress had accused the BJP-led central government for alleged discrepancies in the deal and alleged that the government made Rs 58,000 crore corruption to benefit their business friend Anil Ambani. On Thursday too, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and shared a satirical poetry on Modi-Ambani relationship.
