Rahul Roy suffers brain stroke while shooting in Kargil; rushed to hospital

Rahul Roy, who began his acting career with the 1990 blockbuster Aashiqui, in which he essayed the role of Rahul Vikram Roy, opposite Anu Agarwal, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, has suffered from a brain stroke while shooting for his upcoming film titled, LAC – Live the Battle in Kargil. The actor is now admitted to the hospital.

According to the report in Indian Express, Rahul has been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital and is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU). The 52-year-old actor’s brother Romeer Sen confirmed the news and stated that “he is recovering.”

A new report in ABP News, the actor suffered a brain stroke seven days back while he was shooting for his movie. Later, he was brought to Srinagar from Kargil and then to Mumbai for his medical treatment. His brother-in-law further, in an interview said, “He has been kept in the ICU as a precautionary measure. There is nothing to worry about.” The actor was also tested for the novel Coronavirus, and his report came negative. Roy’s sister Priyanka Roy also gave a health update and said that his condition is improving now.

LAC – Live the Battle is directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta, jointly produced by Chitra Vakil Sharma and Nivedita Basu. The film also stars Bigg Boss 14 contestant Nishant Singh Malkani. In the film,  Rahul will be seen playing the role of a Major.
