Ranveer Singh starrer cricket drama, ’83 is one of the most anticipated films in Bollywood this year. The makers have been juggling with the release dates for the films amidst the pandemic Coronavirus outspread. Now, we hear that the 83 gets a Christmas release after the theaters re-open, while ‘Sooryavanshi’ gets delayed.

A while ago, the Reliance Entertainment had revealed that filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Kabir Khan’s film ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ’83 will be releasing on Diwali and Christmas respectively. According to the latest reports, Akshay Kumar’s fans will have to wait a little longer, as ‘Sooryavanshi’ has been shifted to next year, while Ranveer’s film, ’83 has been shifted for the Christmas release.

The CEO Of Reliance Entertainment, Shibasish Sarkar who is also co-producer of ’83 and ‘Sooryavanshi’ while talking about the release dates for the films has informed Mumbai Mirror, “We definitely don’t want to change the date of 83 for Sooryavanshi. The sport drama is still slated to release on Christmas. We have to decide on the new date of Sooryavanshi with the director and actor, but the film should release between January and March.”

As the Maharashtra government made announcement about planning to re-open the theaters in the state, filmmakers have announced about re-releasing their films in the theaters. Films such as Omung Kumar’s PM Narendra Modi, Ishaa Khatter-Ananya Panday’s ‘Khaali Peeli’ to be screened in the theaters post reopening. Ranveer’s cricket drama would among the list of films to directly release in theaters post pandemic break.
