Sacred Games 2: Saif Ali Khan grapples with inner demons in new promo

Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are back together once again in Sacred Games season 2. The duo will be seen as Ganesh Gaitonde and Sartaj Singh once again. In the first season, Gaitonde had given sleepless nights to Sartaj with his confessions about Mumbai’s doom.

The makers had shared the trailer of the series that sent shivers down the viewer’s spine. Today they are out with a new promo that features Sartaj Singh.

The new teaser delves into the mind of Sartaj who is grappling with flashbacks from the past. He revisits memories of how he failed to help his acquaintances, who eventually succumbed to death. The teaser ends with Sartaj making up his mind for a fight ahead.

The show picks up from where the first season ended. It will have Gaitonde out of the prison and Sartaj Singh trying to save the city. Pankaj Tripathi will be seen playing the role of Guruji.

The second season includes new additions in the cast, including Kalki Koechlin as Batya Abelman and Ranvir Shorey as Shahid Khan. Anurag Kashyap has directed Gaitonde’s track while Neeraj Ghaywan (of Masaan-fame) is the main man behind Singh’s track in season 2.

‘Sacred Game’s is based on the book of the same name by Vikram Chandra. The series is written by an excellent team of writers including Varun Grover. This year, actors Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin are also part of the thriller.

Sacred Games will air from August 15, 2019 on NetFlix.
