Saif Ali Khan will act as an Indian Deputy Commissioner in his next film
Saif Ali Khan is one of the very popular actors and his fans are always on the lookout about which movie he is going to do next. His next movie is a story about how Uzma Ahmed, a Delhi Girl fall in love with Tahir Ali. Tahir is a taxi driver from Pakistan, they fall in love while she is on a trip to Malaysia.
They both then go to the place where Tahir lived, called Buner, which is one of the remotest places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. When they reached Buner, Uzma discovered that Tahir was already married. He also had four children. When she refused to marry him, she was forced on gunpoint and he even sexually assaulted her.
Saif Ali Khan is going to play the role of the Indian Deputy High Commissioner of that time, J.P.Singh. He was located in Islamabad and played the most important role in bringing Uzma back home on 25 May 2017 under the guidance and leadership of the External Affairs Minister of that time Sushma Swaraj. So, the movie will also be a tribute to her.
The film is going to be led by Filmmakers Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma, Girish Johar and Kewal Garg. It will be directed by Shivam Nair who has directed the movie Naam Shabana, starring Tapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar.
Ritesh Shah, who has written dialogues for the films like Kahaani, Pink, Airlift and Raid will be writing the script for this film.
Girish Johar mentioned: “It’s a very fascinating tale of how things unfurled in Uzma’s life. And all this was possible due to one man, J.P. Singh. He is not only our film’s hero but also the true national hero who played a key role in getting Uzma back to her motherland with the help of Sushma Swarajji on behalf of the government.”
