‘Saina’ TEASER: Parineeti Chopra aces it as badminton player

‘Saina’ teaser will take you through the journey of the badminton player’s life. It showcases how she made her way to become the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal and how she became the only Indian woman badminton player to become world No. 1.
The film’s 2020 release had to be pushed because of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now scheduled to have a theatrical release on 26 March 2021. Written and directed by Amol Gupte. The movie also features Manav Kaul who essays the role of Nehwal’s coach Pullela Gopichand.
Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was roped in to play Saina Nehwal onscreen, but later she backed out due to a scheduling conflict.
