Relief for Salman Khan. Jodhpur District and Sessions Court Rejects State Government’s plea.

Superstar Salman Khan has been awarded relief by the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court. It has dismissed the plea of the State* Government, it was alleged that Salman Khan had presented a false affidavit in connection with Arms Act. Govt’s plea was earlier dismissed by the lower court.

Salman Khan appeared before the Jodhpur Session court for the hearing linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Due to the Covid-19 scare, the hearing took place via video conferencing. Now according to ANI’s latest report, the actor has got relief in the fake affidavit case.

Salman Khan’s lawyer Hastimal Saraswat states that the Court has dismissed both the pleas of the State Government, in a detailed order. He added that they had replied in 2006 itself that no false affidavits were presented and such pleas are being furnished only to disturb Salman Khan

A trial court in 2018 had convicted Salman Khan. He was awarded five-year imprisonment for allegedly killing the Black Bucks. The incident took place during the shooting of the film Hum Saath Saath Hain in October 1998. The actor was accompanied by Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam. But they were acquitted. Salman had challenged the trial court verdict in the sessions court.

The Bharat star had to stay two days in Jodhpur prison after which he was granted bail. The Rajasthan Government had appealed against the High Court order of staying the conviction of the actor.
