#SorryRakul, #SorrySara says Samantha Akkineni after NCB denies taking names of Bollywood celebrities
Samantha Akkineni has apologized to Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh after NCB denied that no list of Bollywood celebs were made.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend-actor Rhea Chakraborty during her investigation with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) named 25 Bollywood celebrities who consumed narcotics substance, which also included, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, designer Simone Khambatta, SSR’s friend and former manager Rohini Iyer, and the Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra.
However, the NCB director KPS Malhotra dismissed the reports stating that they have not made any list of Bollywood celebs. Now, #SorrySara and #SorryRakul have been trending online, among them is Samantha Akkineni, she shared a post on her Instagram story and apologized, she also tagged Rakul Preet Singh on her story.
KPS Malhotra, NCB deputy director, told Free Press Journal that no list has been made by them, “We have not prepared any Bollywood list. The list earlier prepared was of peddlers and traffickers. It’s getting confused with Bollywood. The names have not been zeroed upon,” he said.
The drug angle came into light after a WhatsApp chat between Rhea Chakraborty and an alleged drug dealer Gaurav Arya was leaked.
Currently, Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Swant, Abdul Basit, and Zaid Vilatra have been arrested by the NCB on drug-related charges, recently, the Mumbai High court had rejected the plea of getting bail and they will remain under the central agency’s custody till September 22.
