Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay Passes Away, Kiccha Sudeep Prakash Raj & Others pay Tribute

National Award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay passed away early Tuesday. The actor breathed his last at 3:34 am, at Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru. Vijay was hospitalised after meeting with a road accident on Saturday, June 12. He was in critical condition and had reportedly suffered injuries in the right portion of the brain. Doctors performed an emergency brain surgery but could not save him.

Sanchari was riding pillion with his friend Naveen on a bike when it skidded and crashed against an electric pole in Bengaluru. While Naveen fractured his leg, Vijay was fatally injured. The accident took place around 11:45 pm on Saturday leaving the actor fatally injured. He was soon rushed to a hospital. But sadly the 38-year-old passed away due to his injuries.

Celebrities like Prakash Raj, Raksjit Shetty, Kichcha Sudeep, Sruthi Hariharan, Samyukta Hornad, and Pannaga Bharana took to social media to offer condolences to Sanchari Vijay’s family.

Kichcha Sudeep wrote, “Very very disheartening to accept that Sanchari Vijay breathed his last. Met him couple of times just bfr this lockdown,,,, all excited about his nxt film,, tats due for release. Very sad. Deepest Condolences to his family and friends. RIP.”

Prakash Raj took to Twitter where he expressed his pain and how he is unable to bear the shock. Prakash Raj wrote in Telugu that is loosely translated to, “Gone too soon dearUnbelievableHow to endure this shockpain (sic).”

Samyukta Hornad was devastated by Sanchari Vijay’s demise. She took to her Instagram stories to pen a post. She wrote, “I had the privilege of working with Sanchari Vijay on 3 films. I remember how when we finished shoot one night at 2 am, he wanted to eat dosa and I took him to the worst restaurant, this joke only got funnier with time. He used always find ways to make people laugh, so good at mimicryHe always found the most absurd thing to laugh about at premieres. What a good soul. This is horrible (sic).”

Sruthi Hariharan shared a heartfelt post about a beautiful soul and actor par excellence that was Sanchari Vijay.

Sanchari Vijay made his debut with the film Rangappa Hogbitna in 2011. He has appeared in a number of hit Kannada films including Dasavala, Harivu, Oggarane, Killing Veerappan, Varthamana and Sipaayi among others. He rose to fame with the film Naanu Avanalla Avalu, which also fetched him his first National Award.
