Many trolls have questioned her nationality after she tied the knot with Malik, while others have considered her unfit to hold the Indian citizenship. But on most occasions, the three-time Grand Slam champion has shut their mouth with fitting replies and this Tuesday, when a Twitter user similarly questioned her nationality by taking a jibe at Sania’s marriage, she once again stood up and gave a worthy reply to the user.

The user took a dig at Sania by wishing her an Independence Day on August 14, despite knowing that Sania being an Indian will celebrate it on the next day, which is August 15.

Incidentally, Pakistan celebrates their Independence Day on August 14, a day prior to India’s Independence and the tweet was in relation to Sania’s husband Shoaib’s – who hails from Pakistan – celebration of the D day.

He further pretending to be confused asked Sania if she celebrated her Independence Day on August 14 along with her husband?

Sania known for her wit, calmly and with politeness replied to the user saying, “Jee nahi.. mera aur mere country ka Independence Day kal hai, aur mere husband aur unnki country ka aaj!! Hope your confusion is cleared!!” (No, mine and my country’s independence day is tomorrow and my husband and his country’s independence day is today).

Adding to her mouth-shutting reply she also went and asked the user that in all of his confusion with her nationality, if he is actually aware of his Independence Day or his nationality.

“Waise aapka kab hai?? Since you seem very confused..” she added in the tweet.

Meanwhile, Sania and Shoaib are expecting their first baby this year and had announced it on social media on April 23. While Sania has brought many laurels to her country through her Tennis, Shoaib who represents the Pakistan cricket team continues to play with pride and has even served as its national team captain.
