There are several leaders who offered floral tribute to India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel which includes, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and a host of dignitaries.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the same day unveiled his ambitious project and dedicated to the nation the world’s tallest — 182-metre statue of Vallabhbhai Patel — the ‘Statue of Unity’ at Kevadiya, Narmada district in Gujarat.

Notably, the central government observes October 31 all over the country as a day of a special occasion to foster and reinforce the government’s dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of the nation by celebrating it as a ’Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.

President of India, Ram Nath Kovind Paid a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Patel Chowk in New Delhi.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh bowed down and paid a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He wrote on Twitter: “I bow to the great son of India, freedom fighter and India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on his 143rd birth anniversary. He was the force behind India’s unity and integrity. The Nation is deeply indebted to him.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid his tribute to first Home minister of India and Iron man Vallabhbhai Patel.

International sand artists and Padma Shree Awardee paid a rich tribute by making his sand statue at Puri beach in Odisha.

Congress Party took to Twitter to paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
