Shilpa Shetty Kundra To Make Her Comeback In Movies After 12 Years

Shilpa Shetty is an Indian actress, producer, businesswoman and dancer. She has featured as a celebrity host for the 2008 reality show Bigg Boss 2 and has served as a talent judge for several reality TV shows including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye and Super Dancer. Shilpa Shetty was the co-owner of the cricket team Rajasthan Royals and turned into a film producer with the 2014 action film. Shetty married businessman Raj Kundra in 2009, with whom she has a son.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Shilpa Shetty is making her comeback to the big screen after 12 long years. She would be seen with Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam in their upcoming comedy film. She would play the role of a writer. According to a source, “Shilpa plays a writer in the film. After a monthlong holiday in London and Greece, she returns to Mumbai in the first week of August and will immediately start shooting for the film. She is really excited.”

Earlier, Shilpa did talk about her comeback, she said, “I love acting. If I hadn’t done TV, then maybe I would have done films. After I had my son I consciously decided to be with him and so I did not do films. If I had to do a film then I had to be away for a longer period of time from my son so I did not want to do that.”

This film marks the directorial debut of Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon.

Shilpa Shetty has been in the industry for 25 years now,  she made her debut with Abbas-Mastan’s 1993 thriller Baazigar alongside which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. She never turned back after this. Its been 12 years since the audience saw Shilpa on the big screen. Her last movie before her come back was Apne which released in 2007. In between her break, she was only seen as a special appearance in songs of movies like Om Shanti Om, Dostana, and Dishkiyaoon.
