The much-awaited film of the year ‘Sooryavanshi’ has finally been released in theaters today. The action film is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

It also stars Akshay Kumar opposite Katrina Kaif with a supporting cast of Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, and Jaaved Jaaferi. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo appearances reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous films.

The film is about DCP Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), the Chief of India’s Anti-Terrorism Squad, as he attempts to protect Mumbai from one of the worst terror attacks in history.

It has set a new record overseas as it was released on 1300 screens across 66 countries. In India, the actioner was released on over 4000 screens. Now, the reviews of netizens are in, and fans have called it a ‘Hit.’ Check out how the Twitterati has reacted to it.
