Informing more about the incident, police said that the Danush and his mother had a quarrel, after which his mother refused to give him the money to recharge his mobile. Angry with this, the son went to his room and locked it and hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his room. The parents came to know about this only after his mother went to the room to call him for dinner.

After hearing the screams of the father — Siva Kumar and mother, the neighbours came rushing in and later informed the Singanallur police. The Police sent the body to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for post-mortem and is doing the investigations.

In an another incident, a youth — Ramachandran (21) — committed suicide out of depression near Thoppampatty in the city’s suburbs. The youth was depressed of not getting a proper job and the company in which he was working as a supervisor was going to shut down. When his parents were out, he committed suicide. The matter is being investigated, informed police.
