Twinkle Khanna Reacts To PM Narendra Modi’s Joke About Her Tweets Against Him

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar seems to have turned interviewer for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked several questions related to changes that he has brought during his five-year term starting from 2014. You must have noticed the wife of Akshay Kumar — Twinkle Khanna — is known for taking potshots at Narendra Modi government as she believes expressing her own feeling and concern make citizen the most responsible citizen of India. On 1 April 2019, she took to Twitter and posted a picture with text which reads, ‘We celebrate April Fools everyday’ and taunted Modi government’s slogan ‘Acche Din’. Twinkle is also known for giving a befitting reply to a troller. You must have remembered how she had once shut the trolls on Twitter saying. “Better than a regressive tweet like this that calls ‘progressive’ pieces fluff and believes that marriage means sharing the same ideologies.”

During Akshay Kumar and Narendra Modi’s non-political interview, when Aki asked Modi how active he is on the social media, Modi said that he keeps an eye on his and his wife’s Twitter accounts. Here is what PM Modi said,  “Main aapka bhi Twitter dekhta hoon aur Twinkle Khanna ji ka bhi dekhta hoon. Kabhi kabhi toh mujhe lagta hai ki vo mere upar gussa nikalti hai Twitter pe toh usske kaaran aapka paarivarik jeewan mein badi shaanti hoti hogi. Unnka poora gussa mujh pe nikal jaata hoga isliye aapko aaram rehta hoga. Toh iss prakar se main aapke kaam aaya hoon (laughs).

Reacting to PM Modi’s joke at her, Twinkle Khanna took to Twitter and wrote: “I have a rather positive way of looking at this – Not only is the Prime Minister aware that I exist but he actually reads my work :).”
