1. Cube Shaped String Lights:

Material

  • A string of 20 LED lights
  • 20 square pieces of paper(8.5″ x 8.5″)

Method

2. Scented Candles:

Material

  • 3-4 jars
  • Candle wicks
  • Candle wax
  • Colourful crayons
  •  Glitter (optional)
  • Essential oil

 Method

Break the crayon colours into small pieces.
Melt it with the help of a double boiler.
Now, clean wash your jars and keep it aside.
Scrape some candle wax from a candle and melt it in a double boiler
Now mix both melted crayons and candles and pour it into the jar followed by pouring a few drops of essential oils.
Sprinkle some golden coloured glitter into the jar.
Finally place the candle wicks at the center of the jar.

3. Magic Jars:

Material

  • A Mason jar with ring
  • A String of fairy lights and batteries
  • 10 diameter of burlap
  • Jute string
  • Handful of fibre fills
  • Hot glue

First, tape off your fairy light battery pack on to the jar’s lid ring. Make sure the on/off switch faces down the jar so you can reach it easily when you open the top of the jar.
Apply hot glue to the ring of the jar. Now Attach the battery box to the base of the jar lid and cover it with burlap after piling it with a small amount of fiberfill.
Add a string of jute to accentuate the top of the jar.

4. Upcycled Tin Jewellery Box:

Material

  • Small Cookie Tin Box
  • Acrylic Colours
  • Embellishment( Zardozi lace, Buttons, Mirror Work, rhinestones)
  • Glue Gun

Method:

Take the small tin box paint the lid and can with your favourite acrylic colour.
Let It Dry
Take the Glue Gun and stick the shimmery lace or pearls at the bottom of the tin and around the cover.
Finish it up with buttons Mirror Work to give a touch of festivity.

5. Masala Chai Blend:

Material

    • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 1/2 tbsp ground cardamom
    • 1 tbsp ground ginger
    • 1 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1 1/2 tsp ground cloves
    • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Method
Add all the spices to a small mixing bowl. Whisk together until the spices are well combined.
Funnel into a 4 oz glass jar, bottle, or shaker. Tie on a ribbon or twine for quick and easy gift giving.

6. Colourful Paper Cup Garland:

Materials

  • Plain white paper cup ( small ones work best)
  • fabric/acrylic paints
  • brush for painting
  • pearl/bling string sticker
  • rice lights

Method

Take 20 small paper cups to paint them with colours of your choice.

Paint the bottom with gold or silver colour

Decorate with Embellishments.

Finally, Make a small cross at the bottom to fit your rice light.

Insert the rice light into the cups and make a long string to light your diwali in a colourful way.

7. Diwali String Lantern:

Material

        • 1 Roll Thick Jute Twine
        • 2 balloons
        • Scissors
        • Newspaper
        • Fevicol
        • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
        • 1/4 cup of warm water
        • Petroleum jelly
        • Spray paint
        • String lights

Blow up your balloons the size you want for your lantern. Mix fevicol, cornstarch with warm water and make a paste.

Fully coat your balloons in Petroleum jelly to keep your twine safe from sticking to the balloons when you pop them!

Soak your twine in the sticky mixture and start rolling them vertically and horizontally across your balloons.

Make sure to wrap it tightly to avoid any movement but leave some gaps in between.

Hang the balloons to dry. Once dried pop the balloon.

Spray your sculpture with spray paint.

Wrap your string lights around the sculpture.
