Watch: After Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor take up the Sui Dhaaga challenge
Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma’s film Sui Dhaaga is all set to release this month and the makers are leaving no stone unturned in promoting their upcoming film. As part of promotions, they challenged the viewers and celebrities to take up the Sui-Dhaaga challenge where they have to put the thread through the needle.

Akshay Kumar took the challenge first and failed miserably at it. He tweeted saying, “जिसका काम उसी को साजे और करे तो डंडा बाजे . Mauji bhai @Varun_dvn here’s my attempt at the #SuiDhaagaChallenge, not as easy as it looks. I now nominate @sachin_rt.” He also declared that it would have been easy if it was a competition where he was supposed to jump from a building instead of threading a needle.
After that, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor took the challenge and while Alia aced it and did it in a span of 10 seconds, Aditya could not. Alia shared a video of the trio having fun while doing the challenge. She furthur nominated Karan Johar to take up the challenge. Alia also wanted Ranbir to do the challenge and hence she captioned the video saying, “Here goes the Sui Dhaga challenge!!! Too much fun.. I shall further nominate my dear dear @karanjohar and I shall give him an additional challenge of making Ranbir do it too ????@varundvn @anushkasharma All the best for the film guys can’t wait to see it ❤️❤️?.” Aditya nominated Varun’s brother Rohit Dhawan to take up the challenge.
Anushka had also challenged Shah Rukh Khan but he hasn’t responded as yet.
Sui Dhaaga is a heart-warming story that celebrates the spirit of being independent. It is slated to hit theatres on 28 September.
