Indian food delivery giant, Zomato launches its IPO today i.e July 14. The company is backed by investors groups such as Ant Group, New World Fund, Tiger Global, and BlackRock. Among its domestic investors include Axis Mutual Fund, SBI MF, and HDFC MF which have already received the allotments. Launching its initial public offering, Zomato plains to raise a whopping sum of Rs. 8,250 crore to manage its organic and inorganic business initiatives. Zomato Share Price:

The investors will get to purchase Zomato shares for Rs.72 to Rs. 76 apiece. The investors would have to subscribe to the shares in multiples of 195. The opening of the IPO is slated for July 14 to July 16, post that the allotment activity will be done. Face value per share is Rs. 1 per share and the offer for sale is Rs. 375 crores.

How will Zomato use IPO Funds?

The food delivery industry has garnered good growth in the recent few years. According to reports, the market even recovered post lockdowns and thus there is a race between the competitors. This Gurugram based startup is launching the IPO to fund its organic and inorganic initiatives to expand the business. Invested money will go for general corporate purposes. It is also entering the space of the online grocery segment by buying a 9 percent stake in Grofers.
