Many tech firms in India are currently working on the much-awaited 5G internet technology. This is believed to create a massive boom in the digital market of India. The firms are expected to implement the technology in just a few years. Bollywood actress, Juhi Chawla has raised concerns about health issues after the 5G technology is introduced in the country. She has filed a legal suit in court questioning the safety of the people.

For a while now, Juhi Chawla has been an active volunteer in doing environmental activities. This time around she has questioned the implementation of the wireless 5G internet technology, which is according to her and a section of society is an alarming health factor for the present and future. According to her, the nation is currently on a 5G-race with that of the global powers. Creating awareness of the harmful effects of radiofrequency (RF) radiation, she filed a lawsuit against the implementation of 5G mobile technology in India.

An official statement issued by the actress’s side read, “The present suit is being instituted in order to seek a direction from this Hon’ble court to the arrayed Defendants, to certify to us and, therefore, to the public at large, that 5G technology is safe to humankind, man, woman, adult, child, infant, animals and every type of organisms, to flora, to fauna, and in support thereof, to produce their respective studies regarding RF radiation through mobile cell towers, and if not already conducted, to also conduct an efficient research, and without the participation of private interest, and to subsequently furnish the report and declare whether or not the implementation of 5G in India would be safe, keeping un regards the health and safety of the present and future citizenry on India, including little children and infants, as well as infants of generations to come.”
