Yet another Telugu movie, Lakshmi’s NTR, which is based on the life of former movie star and chief minister of undivided Chief Minister, N.T.Rama Rao has been leaked by Tamilrockers. The film features P Vijay Kumar, Yagna Shetty, Sritej and Aningi Rajasekhar in the pivotal role hit the theatres on March 29. The film has been embroiled in the controversy ever since its trailer was released.

It is to be noted that ahead of its release, the Andhra Pradesh High Court had issued a judgement that the film will not be released in the state till April 3. Now, the nefarious pirated website has leaked its HD version. Since Lakshmi’s NTR, which was released on limited screens and got leaked online, is likely to affect the box office collection of the film.

According to reports, the director has projected AP chief minister as the backstabber who staged a coup to dethrone NTR from the CM post. TamilRockers and other piracy websites, which promote pirated contents on the web have been actively involved in piracy for several years now. In a couple of months, they have leaked several Bollywood, Hollywood and Tollywood movies including Junglee, Lucifer, Super Deluxe, Airaa and others.

According to reports, Tamil Rockers and a few others associated with the notorious piracy website were arrested in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. But it has not put an end to its activities as new movies continue to appear in the torrent site.

Vishal, who heads the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council, has taken several measures to curb piracy. In fact, he even set up an anti-piracy team to monitor the pirated websites.
