Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s son Junaid resumes shooting of debut film ‘Maharaja’
Aamir Khan's son Junaid has resumed the shooting of his debut film, 'Maharaja' in Mumbai.
Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is all set to enter the Bollywood industry with the film, ‘Maharaja.’ It also features Shalini Pandey, Sharvari Wagh, and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. Now, Junaid has resumed the shooting of his film in Mumbai as the Coronavirus restrictions in Maharashtra have eased down.
Talking about the same, a report in Mid Day stated: “On Sunday, over 100-plus cast and crew members, including those who have taken the first dose of the vaccine, underwent RT-PCR test. Of the people who tested negative, only 25 junior artists have been summoned to the set, along with the main cast. Only a few key members of the production team have been asked to join in. The idea is to keep the on-set team to the bare minimum.”
Junaid will play the role of a journalist in ‘Maharaja.’ The film will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and is backed by Yash Raj Films. It is reportedly based on the infamous 1862 Maharaja Libel Case.
Earlier, Junaid’s sister Ira had shared a post on Instagram congratulating her brother for his debut film. Sharing the photo with him, she penned a long caption, that read as: “Junnuu! This wasn’t his first play or his first show or our first play together but.. today is his first day! Of shoot. And I love this picture. He’s been acting for a few years now but its still new for me. He even acted my play so I should be over it… but I’ve been his younger sister longer than any of the other things. His professionalism is unparalleled. I’m super excited for him. Can’t wait till he blows everyone away. And irritates them a little with his properness😆 (HE REFUSES TO TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE FILM. SO IRRITATING. I WANT INSIDE SCOOP) and then I can go to set and embarrass and trouble him!”
Junaid Khan is Aamir and ex-wife Reena Dutta’s firstborn.
