Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Remake: Manisha Koirala to reprise Tabu’s role in Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon starrer?

Lately, Kartik Aaryan has been making headlines for bagging the lead role in the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. This Telugu film starred Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde and Tabu in the lead roles and it was received well by the audience at the box office. The film’s songs such as Butta Bomma and Ramuloo Ramulaa went viral on the internet. According to the latest reports, Manisha Koirala to reprise Tabu’s role in the Hindi remake. The remake to also features Kriti Sanon opposite Kartik as per reports.

Kartik Aaryan took his fans by surprise after he posted a dance video of Butta Bomma song on his official Instagram handle. The video sparked speculations about the Hindi remake. Talking about the development in the project, a source informed Hungama Bollywood, “Kriti has been finalized to essay Pooja Hegde’s part from the original. But the makers were dilly-dallying about whom to approach to play Kartik’s mother in the film. Initially, the team wanted to retain Tabu in the remake as well but since she and Kartik have already done a film together (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2), they wanted to look out for another actor.”

The source also informs further that Manisha Koirala will reprise Tabu’s part in the remake. She will be seen as Kartik’s mother. This one is expected to hit the floors in this year only. The makers are planning to release the remake during a festive occasion in 2022.
