Dutee, who was earlier suspended from participating in any intercontinental event under the IAAF’s hyperandrogenism policy showed her class with a brilliant show. She also became the fourth women athlete after the legendary PT Usha, Jyotirmoyee Sikdar, and Sunita Rani to win multiple medals at a single Asian Games event.

Usha had at the 1986 Seoul Games won four gold medals in five of the events she had contested in. She won in the 200m, 400m, 400mhurdles and 4x400m team relay. While, Sikdar had won two medals in the 800m and 1500m events of the 1998 Bangkok Games. Rani had also clinched two medals in the 1500m and 5000m of the 2002 Busan Games.
