Ayushmann Khurrana to play cross functional athlete in Abhishek Kapoor’s next

Ayushmann Khurrana is known to play diverse roles that are much loved by fans. The actor is all set to do the same once again. Ayushmann Khurrana has signed a new project with filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor. The untitled film is a progressive love story and Khurrana will depict the role of a cross-functional athlete.

In an interview to Bombay Times Ayushmann said, “Abhishek has a distinct voice in cinema today, and I’m glad that we finally got the opportunity to work together on a project that’s close to my heart. This beautiful love story will take viewers on an emotional roller-coaster ride and it is a total family entertainer.”

He added, “I will have to undergo a major transformation. I have never attempted a look like this on screen before and I’m already looking forward to seeing the reaction of audiences. The process is going to be intense and excruciating, but I feel that the pain will be worth it.”

Speaking about their collaboration, Kapoor said that he will present Khurrana in a never-seen-before avatar in the movie. The romantic drama will go on floors in October and will be shot in North India. It will hit theaters in 2021.

On the work front, Ayushmann was last seen in ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. The movie was released on the OTT platform due to the COVID-19 Lockdown. The Andhadhun star also has a movie with Anubhav Sinha, with whom he worked in Article 15.
