BTS And NU’EST Both Achieve Triple Crowns On Gaon Weekly Chart, BTS Also Sets New Record For Highest Album Sales In Gaon Monthly Chart History

The South Korean band groups Bangtan Boys (BTS) and New Establish Style Tempo (NU’EST) have topped the latest Gaon weekly charts. On 9 May 2019, Gaon Chart has made an announcement that both South Korean groups have swept the three separate charts for this week April 28 to May 4.

BTS has grabbed the number 1 position on this week’s overall digital chart including Streaming and social chart with their new title track “Boy With Luv” which also features Halsey. On the other hand, NU’EST took no 1 position on this week’s in the album chart, digital download chart, and BGM chart (which tracks the songs that people purchase to use as background music for their blogs and KakaoTalk profiles). Here are the top five for each of Gaon’s weekly charts below

1. Album Chart:

On this week’s album chart, apart from NU’EST’s new album titled “Happily Ever After” debut at No Kihno version of the mini album also charted separately at No. 5. The Boyz’s “Bloom Bloom” listed at No. 2 on the chart, followed by Bae Jin Young‘s “Hard to Say Goodbye” at No. 3 and BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 4.

2. Overall Digital Chart

The most recent popular track titled “Boy With Luv” has maintained its number one position on the overall Digital cahrt this week. With JANNABI’s “For Lovers Who Hesitate” managed to grab the number No. 2 position. TWICE’s “Fancy” stands at No. 3 on this week’s chart, followed by BOL4’s “Bom” at No. 4 and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon‘s “Four Seasons” at No. 5.

3. Download Chart

Both the popular South Korean Band have debuted at no 1 on this week’s digital download chart, with TWICE’s “Fancy” at No. 2, BTS’s “Boy With Luv” at No. 3, JANNABI’s “For Lovers Who Hesitate” at No. 4, and BOL4’s “Bom” at No. 5.

4. Streaming Chart

BTS’s “Boy With Luv” emerged as No. 1 on this week’s streaming chart, trailed by JANNABI’s “For Lovers Who Hesitate” at No. 2, BOL4’s “Bom” at No. 3, TWICE’s “Fancy” at No. 4, and Taeyeon’s “Four Seasons” at No. 5.

5. Social Chart

BTS’s “Boy With Luv” also managed the first position on the social chart this week, with TWICE’s “Fancy” coming in at No. 2. NU’EST’s “BET BET” debuted at No. 3 on this week’s chart, while TXT’s “Cat & Dog” and BTS’s “DNA” rounded out the top five at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

BTS seems to have written yet another Gaon Chart history with this week release. Yes, Gaon Chart has just announced that BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” had sold 3,229,032 copies during the month of April, making it the highest album sales ever recorded in the history of the Gaon monthly album chart.

Apart from “Map of the Soul: Persona” BTS’s new title track “Boy With Luv” (featuring Halsey) topped the monthly digital download chart as well and earned a double crown for the month.
