CBSE Boards 2021: Education Ministry Planning To Postpone Exams?
Amidst the peeking Coronavirus cases, the Indian Education Ministry is considering postponing the CBSC board exams in 2021, according to the latest reports. No official announcement as of yet
The highest single-day rise with fresh COVID-19 cases has shown a rapid surge. With the rise of the new COVID-19 wave in India, safety concerns have also increased. Several states have already imposed night curfews and weekend lockdowns to curb the rapid spreading. The schedules of the education system have been highly affected owing to the outspread. According to the latest reports, the Education Ministry held a meeting to discuss postponing of CBSE Board Exams in 2021. No official announcement has been done so far.
On Monday i.e. April 12, the Ministry of Education reportedly held a meeting in order to discuss several aspects of conducting the board exams amidst rising COVID-19 cases. According to a report by News18, a source from the Ministry of Education informed them that there is no plan to cancel board exams as of now. While the meeting is said to have conducted by a few officials, no final decision has been taken as of yet. However, there were discussions on postponing the CBSE Board Exams 2021 during the meeting.
A large section of students has demanded a ban on the examinations this year. Many students including notable celebs took to Twitter and requested the government for the cancelation board exams. As per the data issued by the Health Ministry, India reported around 1,61,736 fresh COVID-9 in the last 24 hours.
