Deepika Padukone to feature in remake of horror film Arundhati

Deepika Padukone to star in the fantasy-thriller film.


Deepika Padukone is trending these days due to the film projects that she is being lately connected with until now. The Padmaavat actress will be seen next in film Chhapaak which also stars Vikrant Massey. Apparently, the film is about the real-life story of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Aggarwal.

Recently, there were reports that Deepika Padukone will be seen as essaying the role of Draupadi in another film and that it would depict the epic story of Mahabharata from different perspective. However, according to a report by Pinkvilla suggest that Deepika may sign up one other film soon enough and that she would play the lead role.

As per several reports, Deepika will be seen in remake of Anushka Shetty starrer film titled Arundhati. In fact, it has been recently reported by Pinkvilla that the rights for the Hindi remake have been bought as well. The first film had been a big success that even it is being remade in the Bengali version. There is no confirmation as such that Kodi Ramakrishna would be directing the film or not though Deepika Padukone did give a little clue of being part of the shady, romantic film.

At present, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will celebrate soon their first wedding anniversary in this month. The couple had a quiet, private Diwali which they spent with their family members and loved ones. Until now, there haven’t been any pictures out of their Diwali celebrations yet.

On work front, the actress is gearing up for the release of Chhapaak in January 2020 also co-starring Vikrant Massey. After that, Deepika will be seen in Ranveer Singh’s 83 later on. We just can’t wait to see Deepika Padukone back on screen with her superb acting and powerful performance.
