Ekta Kapoor Thanks CM Uddhav Thackeray For Allowing Shoots In Non-Containment Zones

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, life has come to a grinding halt. Schools, malls, and offices have all been closed for well over two months now. However, the Maharashtra government has now allowed the shooting of film, television, and digital series in non-containment zones. The news will come as a collective relief to the entertainment industry. Several projects have been panned or delayed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor has applauded the move and thanked CM Uddhav Thackeray.

The Cultural Affairs Ministry of Maharashtra issued the resolution. It stated that producers will have to conduct pre-production and post-production work by sticking to the guidelines.

Producer Ekta Kapoor took to social media to thank CM Uddhav Thackeray. She tweeted, “Would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the honourable @CMOMaharashtra UddhavJi, for considering our requests to begin work in a phased out manner by easing restrictions on films and television shooting, (sic).”

Moreover, she also thanked actor Adesh Bandekar and producer Nitin Vaidya. “Special thanks to Adesh Bandekar & Nitin Vaidya for their relentless efforts to help the industry return to work,with new guidelines that still keep an individuals health above all else, (sic),”

Meanwhile, TV and film shoots have been banned in Maharashtra since March to prevent the COVID-19 outbreak. CM Thackeray had also interacted with producers over a Zoom call and assured them of assistance earlier.

Ekta Kapoor was recently in the news when Bigg Boss 13 contestant Hindustani Bhau filed a police complaint against her.
