Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya: I did not receive death threats

336

Recent reports suggested that choreographer Ganesh Acharya had filed a complaint with the Amboli police alleging that two persons from Federation of Cine Artists Association threatened him for life. However, in an interaction with the media, Ganesh denied those reports and said that he did not receive any death threats. He had filed a complaint only after members of the Federation of Cine Artist Association, Gangeshwar Shrivastav, BN Tiwari and Ashok Dubey stopped his shooting for three hours in between.

A group of dancers have been protesting against the federation after it failed to pay them their fees and allowances. The protestors had also approached Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC) chief Sanjay Nirupam to intervene in the matter, but the matter never settled.

Free Press Journal quoted Bharat Gaikwad, senior police inspector of Amboli police station confirming the incident and saying, “We have received the letter and are probing the case further. The allegations are being verified and two persons mentioned by the complainant will be called in for questioning.”

Ganesh has previously worked with Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and many other celebrities from Bollywood.
