Defense minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for their feat. He said that this technology is a landmark achievement towards realising PM’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

As reported by sources to PTI, dual-use technology will have multiple civilian applications also. It can be used for launching satellites at a low cost too

The development is significant as it comes on the backdrop of PM Modi’s call for a self-reliant India.
