Short video streaming app, TikTok has created a booming trend in just the few years of its launch. Of late, this social media platform has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The Indian version of TikTok clocks five million downloads in just one month.

The application works pretty much like TikTok with its basic navigation and features. Apparently, a student of IIT Roorkee has developed the app ‘Mitron’, which is an exact replica of the popular Chinese app. It allows users to create their accounts and offers the interface to shoot, edit, and share videos with their videos. The app’s, ‘Mitron’ means ‘friends’, however, the word is also famous because PM Narendra Modi often uses this word while addressing his audience in India.

Talking about TikTok, despite attracting a lot of controversies, TikTok has been one of the top applications to compete with the top 10 applications. As per the reports, the Chinese app has its largest market in India. The application is not only famous in India, but also widely popular in Western countries.
