Farooq Davdiwala worked closely with Salim Kutta and he is a member of the Arjun gang from Musafirkhana. Devdiwala was accused of conspiracy and masterminding the murder of late Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya and various other cases. Earlier involved in D-gang operations in Gujarat, he has a lot of information related to Dawood and Chhota Shakeel too.

On inputs from Indian agencies, Devdiwala was apprehended in Dubai but in an attempt to prevent his deportation, Pakistan claimed that Devdiwala was their citizen and not an Indian, based on which the UAE authorities reportedly handed him over to Pakistan.

The Indian authorities were probing a terror module run by Devdiwala along with Pakistan’s ISI involved in recruiting terrorists and training them to launch attacks on the India.

Two such terror suspects were nabbed by Maharashtra Anti Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in the month of May from Mumbai and Gandhinagar. Both these suspects had undergone training in Pakistan based terror camps and had returned to India reportedly to launch terror attacks. Some of the targets included top political leaders and establishments. Though the Gujarat ATS had sent a team to Dubai with a dossier of details of his relatives in India, documents pertaining to his proof of residence in Gujarat and Mumbai, as well as education certificates but all these were nullified as he was staying in Dubai on a Pakistan passport.

Eralier too, Pakistan has used the same modus operandi while trying to gain custody of Munna Jhibgada, the alleged shooter who shot underworld don Chota Rajan in Bangkok on orders of Dawood Ibrahim.
