Ahead of Angrezi Medium trailer, Irrfan Khan shares a heartfelt message

The much-awaited trailer of Angrezi Medium will be releasing on Thursday, February 13. Today, the makers have launched the first look of the film which shows Irrfan Khan dressed as a British royal guard while his on-screen daughter, played by actress Radhika Madan, hugs him.

Along with the poster look, Irrfan Khan shared a voice message to inform his fans that he will not be able to promote his upcoming movie. The video is shared by Maddock Film on YouTube that says, “Sharing Irrfan’s heartfelt message with you all.”

In the video, Irrfan says that due to some “unwanted guests in my body” he will not be able to promote the film. The one-minute-long video highlights co-stars Irrfan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Pankaj Tripathi & Kiku Sharda among others from the movie as he talks about having a positive path towards life and the video ends with a special message saying, “Wait for me”. 

Talking about the movie, ‘Angrezi Medium’ is a sequel to the 2017 entertainer ‘Hindi Medium’, which starred Irrfan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles.

The film will mark Irrfan’s comeback on the big screen, post the brief break that he took in London, seeking treatment for neuroendocrine tumours.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, helmed Raj Batra, the movie also stars Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. Deepak Dobriyal and Manu Rishi play Irrfan’s brother and cousin, respectively, in the film. The trio run sweet shops and are rivals to each other.

‘Angrezi Medium’ is scheduled for a release in March this year.
