Jeff Bezos becomes richest person on the planet as Amazon hits $1 trillion

Jeff Bezos, now world’s richest person on the planet, after hitting his company trillion dollar value on the stock market. Do you know about his company ‘Amazon’ which is the second largest company in the US? According to the Forbes, the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos’ net worth is $166 billion. He has gone on record with a formula for success that includes taking bold bets, riding change and rebounding from setbacks.

As Jeff Bezos continues to grow at a faster pace than anyone on the planet earth. Bezos said in an interview published in Vanity Fair magazine last year, “You need to be nimble and robust so you need to be able to take a punch and you also need to be quick and innovative and do new things at a higher speed, that’s the best defence against the future,”

“You have to always be leaning into the future. If you’re leaning away from the future, the future is gonna win, every time.” he had said.  Bezos tweeted on mother day reading, “You shaped us, you protected us, you let us fall, you picked us up, and you loved us, always and unconditionally.”

Bezos’ fortune has grown rapidly, doubling from $81 billion a year ago to nearly $167 billion today. As shares of his company have soared 108% during the last twelve months. Jeff Bezos is the only person on earth to have more than $100 billion, according to Forbes‘ rankings, his wealth far exceeds that of the world’s next-richest person, Bill Gates, whose fortune is estimated at $95.4 billion. Legendary investor Warren Buffett rounds out the top three richest globally with a net worth of $86.6 billion.

Jeff Bezos seems to follow the footstep of the world’s most valuable company Apple, having a $1.1 trillion market cap. Jeff Bezos’s company, Amazon only briefly hit $1 trillion and its market cap fell to about $990 billion at the time of publication.
