Kriti Sanon found her role in upcoming film ‘Panipat’ as challenging
She plays a maharashtrian role while she is north Indian
Kriti Sanon has garnered some acclaim for her latest film ‘Luka Chuppi’ where she has co-starred opposite Kartik Aaryan. The actress was also a small yet significant part of film ‘Kalank’ as the dancer of ‘Aira Gaira’. She was seen dancing with Aditya Roy Kapur and Varun Dhawan.
The actress has the film ‘Panipat’ next in line. While Kriti was a dancer in the period film ‘Kalank‘, ‘Panipat’ will be her first period film she will be acting in. She plays the role of a Maharashtrian character.
Kriti Sanon in a conversation with ‘Mid Day’ reveals that the role was very challenging for her. She says the reason was that she belongs to North India and the character of the west a bit difficult to play. The actress also reveals that she owes a lot to Ashutosh Gowariker as he made the role really easy for her. Kriti Sanon says that her role has been shaped really well and is a strong one.
The film happens to be a narrative of what exactly lead to the fight of Panipat. Arjun Kapoor is co-starring with Kriti Sanon. Kriti Sanon plays the role of Sadashivrao Bhau’s second wife Parvati Bai. The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The music is directed by the iconic duo of Ajay-Atul. The film is set to hit the theatres on the 6th of December of this year.
