Manju Warrier files complaint against director Sreekumar Menon…

Malayalam film actress Manju Warrier has filed a complaint against filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon of ‘Odiyan’ fame. The actress has lodged the complaint with Kerala’s DGP Loknath Behera. In her complaint, the actress has not only alleged that the director is attempting to defame her through organised social media defamation campaigns. But has also alleged that she fears that Shrikumar Menon might endanger her life.

Manju and Shrikumar Menon have worked in a number of advertising campaigns for Kalyan Jewellers. He had also directed her in movie ‘Odiyan’ too.

As reported by news minute, Manju visited the DGP’s office in Thiruvananthapuram and has handed over digital evidence. She has also filed a complaint alleging the director is misusing blank cheques and siphoning off from her savings. She further added that she fears that he might harm her.

In her complaint, Manju has also mentioned the name of journalist Mathew Samuel a former Managing Editor of Tehelka magazine was later the editor of the digital portal Naradanews. Manju has alleged that Shrikumar Menon planted stories against her using the journalist.

Manju was the victim of an organised social media troll campaign after Shrikumar Menon’s film, Odiyan, released in December 2018. The movie did not fare well and the director blamed Manju for its dismal performance. Shrikumar alleged that it was Manju’s former husband Dileep, an accused in the 2017 actor assault case, who was sabotaging the film.

Manju was last seen in Dhanush starrer Asuran. The movie marked her debut in Tamil industry.
