Women performing Chhath Puja give birth to intelligent children: Manoj Tiwari attacks Sonia Gandhi

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari is back again amidst the controversies after he made a remark against Congress president Rahul Gandhi, mocking his mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

In an indirect jibe towards Sonia Gandhi, Tiwari said women who perform Chhath Puja always give birth to intelligent children. This is also an attack towards Rahul Gandhi, who has been criticised in the past for his childish comments on several issues.

In a video on YouTube, Tiwari said that the Rahul Gandhi would have been intelligent had Sonia performed her Chhath Puja right. He further added that she should have at least celebrated the festival if she couldn’t perform it in the first place.

He then sent out a comment for all mothers alike saying that they who perform Chhath Puja give birth to intelligent children. These comments from Tiwari came while he was addressing an event in Chhatisgarh, which is contesting its elections presently. He even asked the media to not sensationalise this remark of his.

Earlier, he had hit the headlines when he said that Delhi — following Assam — should implement the NRC, starting from Okhla. This was a jibe to AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan as Tiwari held the former was supporting the existence of illegal occupants in the area. Tiwari had also threatened of holding a protest against this.
