Navaratri is a Hindu festival that spans nine nights and is celebrated every year in the autumn. The word Navaratri means ‘nine nights’ in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. During the nine days of Navratri, devotees worship nine avatars of Goddess Durga, namely Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.

It is observed for different reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Indian cultural sphere. The festival of Navratri is celebrated with full zest and fervor in India. The festival is celebrated in the bright half of the Hindu calendar month Ashvin, which typically falls in the Gregorian months of September and October. According to the Hindu calendar, this year Navratri falls on Thursday, October 7, and will end on October 15, 2021.

The video shows Sonakshi Sinha donning traditional Gujarati attire and skillfully executing the traditional Garba moves. It is sung by Udit Narayan, Neeti Mohan, and Palak Muchhal. The music is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and the lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir.

3. Sanedo- Made In China

The song is perfect for Navratri’s festive season and it will make you groove on its peppy beats. The song is composed by Sachin-Jigar from the voices of Mika Singh, Nikhita Gandhi – Benny Day. The lyrics are penned by Niren Bhatt & Jigar Saraiya.

4. Radhe Radhe- Dream Girl

Radhe Radhe has been composed by Meet Bros and it has been sung by Meet Bros and Amit Gupta. The lyrics are by Kumaar.

5. Nagada Sang Dhol- Ramleela

Nagada Sang Dhol is a hit folk song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 movie Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Osman Mir.

6. Udi Udi Jaye- Raees

Song by Bhoomi Trivedi, Karsan Sargathiya, and Sukhwinder Singh. It is from the hit film, ‘Raees’ and features Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan.

7. Dholi Taro Dhol- Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Dholi Taro Dhol is from the popular film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan’s traditional looks in the song won the hearts of fans. Kavita Krishnamurthy, Vinod Rathod and Karsan Sagathia gave their energetic voices.

8. Shubhaarambh- Kai Po Che

The song is sung by Shruti Pathak, Divya Kumar and is from the film, ‘Kai Po Che.’ Featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao, Amit Sadh.

9. Kamariya- Mitron

Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra star in the song and it is a blend of traditional Gujarati folk music and modern beats. Composed by the composers of “Chogada”, Lijo George and DJ Chetas, and is crooned by Darshan Raval.

10. Radha Kaise Na Jale- Lagaan

‘Radha Kaise Na Jale, was featured on the lead cast of the 2002 Oscar-nominated film Lagaan and was composed by AR Rahman.
