The article refers to a vote of confidence by famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. As per his sources this year new iPhone will be taking both wireless and wired to charging to the next level. It might come with reverse wireless charging ability to charge Airpods and maybe Apple Watch.

Samsung Galaxy S series came out with wireless charging features that allow other devices like Galaxy Bud to share power through the smartphone. However it will be exciting to see what new Apple can do with the wireless charging, they had already brought this feature late.

Apple will also adopt USB-C for its new iPad Pros and iPhone might come with lightning to USB-C Cable. The objective behind is to bring fast charging over the connector. The source article also shares that Apple might ship a new USB-C charging with its new model, an 18W capacity that can meet USB-PD requirements. USB-5W will be a part of a box while 18W will be a separate purchase.
