Congress president Rahul Gandhi is all set for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls and is attacking the Bharatiya Janata party communal brigade one at time with his secular card. In order to portray the Congress as a party of exploited, marginalised and the persecute, Gandhi has made it clear that he would not be the kind of those who get into cheap politics.

Though being trolled several times as ‘Pappu’ and being called a child by senior BJP parliamentarians, he did not respond to the hate messages in a way he was treated. Be it being criticised several times for his speech in Lok Sabha sessions to being trolled in social media by the hate mongers, Gandhi has tolerated enough. But, with patience and perseverance, the ‘young’ Gandhi has learnt how to give a befitting reply.

In a latest tweet, Rahul tried to play a secular card by tweeting that ‘Congress is a party of people who are exploited, marginalised and the persecuted. Adding that the party do not discriminate on the basis of religion, caste or beliefs. He had tweeted, “I stand with the last person in the line. The exploited, marginalised and the persecuted. Their religion, caste or beliefs matter little to me. I seek out those in pain and embrace them. I erase hatred and fear. I love all living beings. I am the Congress.”

However, either tweets or comments made by the political leaders on Gandhi, had more hate and communal angle than any substance. On Tuesday only, Jai Prakash Singh was sacked by Mayawati for calling Gandhi a foreigner and had questioned his DNA, which according to him had more of Sonia than Rajiv.

Earlier too, motormouth BJP parliamentarians Sambit Patra and Subramanian Swamy had called the Congress president a child on several occasions, which which further trolled by saffron brigade with hate messages on social media. Even to some extent the tweets were not only derogatory, but were defamatory too, with abuses embed in it.

Recalling the good old days of 2014 Lok Sabha rallies, when Narendra Modi was campaigning for the Premier post, he had attacked Gandhi of family dynasty. Even, during the last Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s birth anniversary, Modi had alleged that Gandhi family loves power and taunted their way of politics. But, Gandhi in his recent replies with his political rallies and twitter share has attacked Modi in a much decent tone, with a focus on issues concerning people.

Now, when a country’s half of the population blindly following Narendra Modi and his speeches listen to his hate and taunts against Rahul Gandhi, the number of hate mongers are bound to increasing, raising further hate. It might come as a surprise, but Rahul Gandhi with his latest tweet has made it clear that he would choose to play a ‘Secular card’ over ‘Communal card’.
