‘Rasbhari’: Prason Joshi Objects A Scene From Swara Bhasker’s Web Series; The Actress Hits Back With Clarification

Bollywood actress, Swara Bhasker recently released her web series, ‘Rasbhari’ on OTT streaming giant. Renowned writer and the Central Board of Film Certification Chairman, Prasoon Joshi raised an objection of a scene from the web series and expressed his sadness in his tweet post. He called out the makers as ‘irresponsible’. The actress was quick to give a clarification on the objection.

Prason Joshi’s tweet read, “Saddened by Webseries #Rasbhari’s irresponsible content portraying a little girl child dancing provocatively in front of men drinking.Creators & audience need 2seriously rethink Freedom of expression or freedom of exploitation? Let’s spare children in the desperate need4 entertainment.”

Swara Bhasker was quick to reply Prason on his tweet post. “With due respect sir, you might have misunderstood the scene. The scene is exactly opposite of you have described. The girl in her own and with her own choice. Her father feels guilty after watching her and he feels embarrassed. The girl is simply dancing. She is not aware that the society would sexualise her too,” read the English translation of reply post on Twitter.
