Robert Downey Jr Gifts Rs. 2 crore Avengers-themed Car to Chris Evans

Captain America and Iron Man have been at each other’s throat in the recent cinematic magics by Marvel, but in real life, everyone knows Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are best buds. Recently Chris was in for a surprise when his good friend gifted him an Avengers-themed car worth Rs. 2 crores to him.

Yes, Robert Downey Junior gifted a customized 1967 Chevrolet Camaro to his ‘Avengers: Endgame’ co-star and good friend Chris Evans worth an estimated $275,000 which is around Rs 2 crores in the Indian currency. The themed car is customized for Evan’s superhero character Captain America and features a steering wheel adorned with his character’s shield in the center.

Evans shared the news when he appeared on an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage.

Evans confessed that he first realized that Robert is setting up a major gift for him after the latter kept pointing cars on the street asking Evans if he like them. And, then one day, when he showed up on set it was there.

At present Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr are gearing for the release of the much-awaited film ‘Avengers: Endgame’. The Marvel film has them reprise their role as Captain America and Iron Man respectively. The film also features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.

‘Avengers Endgame’ will be releasing on April 26, 2019.
