Riding on the success of the Asia Cup, Indian openers-Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have gained places in the ICC ODI rankings according to the updates released on Sunday.

His partner, Dhawan, who had a scintillating Asia Cup campaign which saw him getting named Man of the Tournament for racking up 342 runs in five innings gained four places to occupy the fifth place in the rankings.
With this development, the top two batsmen in the ODI rankings are Indians-with regular skipper Virat Kohli being the number one ranked batsman.
In the bowlers’ rankings, it was left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav gained three spots to reach to a career-best third position. He finished the tournament as the joint highest wicket-taker with Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan. All three bowlers ended with 10 wickets each.
Pakistan batsman Babar Azam dropping down four places in the rankings explains the country’s dismal show in the Asia Cup. The right-hander now is at the sixth position.
