Tara Sutaria was to act along with Will Smith in 'Aladdin' as Princess Jasmine
Tara Sutaria is the latest B-Town newbie. This glamazon isn’t just an actress but an ace in the field of singing, hosting and dancing as seen from the music videos from her debut film. The ‘Student Of The Year 2’ actress reveals that she had another film in hand before ‘SOTY 2’.
Tara Sutaria reveals that she was supposed to work with Will Smith in the film ‘Aladdin’. The actress says that she was supposed to play the role of Princess Jasmine in the live-action remake of the film ‘Aladdin’ by Guy Ritchie. But Will Smith turned up to be a part of the song ‘Radha Teri Chunari’ in the film.
In an interview as revealed by India Today, Tara said, “I was actually supposed to do another film with Will Smith a year before we started Student of the Year 2 in London. I was working on this film Aladdin, which is, in fact, releasing a week after SOTY. So, I was meant to play Jasmine in that film. We would have worked together on that film and it is so ironic that I didn’t end up doing that film, but I am doing this and he actually came here and we ended up working on this.”
The film ‘Aladdin’ also stars Will Smith, Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud in pivotal roles. Here the actress did not reveal why she chose ‘SOTY 2’ over ‘Aladdin’.
‘Student Of The Year 2’ is a directorial venture by Punit Malhotra starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria. It is set to hit the screens on 10th of May 2019.
