Thalapathy Vijay Files Case Against His Parents & Others

Thalapathy Vijay aka Joseph Vijay has filed a civil lawsuit against 11 people, including his father SA Chandrasekar and his mother Shoba. The Mersal actor has filed a case seeking an injunction restraining them from using his name. Also the name of his fan clubs in politics.

For the unversed Vijay’s father, veteran director SA Chandrasekhar started a political party called the All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. The political party has SA Chandrasekhar as General Secretary. The actor’s mother Shoba Chandrasekhar as treasurer.   Padmanabhan was named the leader of the party.

Vijay soon released a statement claiming that he did not consent to start any such party. He also filed a lawsuit in a Chennai court. It is against 11 people to restrain them from using his name to conduct meetings or gather crowds. The court will most likely hear the suit on September 27, 2021.

In 2020, there were reports about Vijay joining his father’s political party. However, the Bigil actor released a statement clarifying that he has no connection with whatever political party or statement his father gave.

Vijay had released the statement that read: “I don’t have any connection directly or indirectly with the political statements that my dad has issued. I’m not bound to follow my father’s political aspirations. I request my fans not to join the party that my dad has started. If anyone will try to misuse my photograph, name or my fan clubs for their political aspirations, I will take the actions against them.”
