Hollywood star Tom Holland is chiefly known for appearing as Spider-Man in the MCU hit ‘Avengers: Endgame’. He will continue this summer with ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. But the actor will also be seen in ‘Uncharted’  a different kind of blockbuster. Sony Pictures’ movie adaptation of popular video game ‘Uncharted’ featuring Tom Holland will hit the theatres worldwide on December 18, 2020

‘Uncharted’ is based on the PlayStation video game series. It follows the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake,  portrayed by Tom Holland. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the movie will chronicle Drake’s first encounter with the professional rogue Sullivan. The movie will release against Fox’s ‘West Side Story’ and Paramount’s ‘Coming 2 America’.

‘Unchartered’ will be a prequel to the game series. The story follows a descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nate Drake. He believes he has learned the whereabouts of El Dorado, the fabled South American golden city, from a cursed golden statue. The search becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fray. It escalates when creatures begin attacking those hoping to learn the treasure’s true secrets.

Sony has also announced the release date of Kevin Hart-starrer ‘Fatherhood’ and Camila Cabello’s ‘Cinderella’. ‘Fatherhood’, to be helmed by Paul Weitz, will open on April 3, 2020, Kay Cannon-directed ‘Cinderella’ has been given the release date of February 3, 2021.
