The match between Denmark and Finland was suspended for almost two hours but resumed later that night after Eriksen was declared stable.

During the 42nd minute of the match, 29-year-old Eriksen rushed to receive the ball but he collapsed face-first as the ball hit his knee. The crowd at the Parken Stadium in the Danish capital went silent after the 29-year-old fell to the ground. His teammates soon gathered around him as he was administered CRP.  He was soon carried off to a loud ovation from the 16,000-strong crowd at the stadium and transported to a hospital.

Christian Eriksen is awake and is undergoing further examinations at Rigshospitalet,” said a statement from Denmark FA a little later.

The game resumed after two hours. But Denmark, despite dominating possession, lost to Finland 1-0.
