‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ cast and crew members test positive for Covid-19

On Monday, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ three main leading actors Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi, and Samir Onkar tested COVID-19 positive. Immediately, the entire on-crew team of the show was isolated and tested. Four crew members also tested positive for the same and are currently receiving medical attention.

The show’s producer Rajan Shahi in a statement said that the entire set has been sanitized and fumigated. “The three actors are an integral part of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. As they are asymptomatic, they are under home quarantine. We immediately got everyone on the set tested, and four of the crew members tested positive. The BMC has been informed, and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated.”

The actor’s confirmed the news:

 Sachin Tyagi, “I have tested positive. We have been shooting so peacefully but this has happened nonetheless. I guess we all have to take this positively. Have isolated myself and taking care of my diet. But was asymptomatic so could not guess. But thankfully I took the test on time. The production house follows all guidelines on the set and is constantly in touch.”

Swati Chitniis, “I would like to clarify that I have tested positive for Covid-19. Luckily, I am asymptomatic and doing well, recovering fast. I have been monitoring my health from time to time. Hopefully, I will bounce back soon. Rajan Shahi is the best producer I have ever worked with and actors are well taken care of by his team.” said the actress.

Samir Onkar, “For the first time in my life I feel being positive is not so cool. Luckily I am asymptotic so there are no such reactions. But I have self-isolated myself and also taking care of my diet and also doing some breathing exercises. God is great, everything will be fine.”
