The highly anticipated movie ‘Zero’, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer seems to have witnessed Box Office battle with Kannada film KGF. It is to be noted that both the films were released on December 21.
On the first day, Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’ minted Rs 20.14 crore and makers were expecting the number will grow on its second day but the box office figures dipped further. According to Box Office India report, ‘Zero’ seen a drop of almost 12 percent and merely made a collection of approximately Rs 17 crore. The total Box office collection of Zero is Rs 37.14 crore.
Talking about Kannada superstar Yash’s KGF, it made a collection of Rs 18 crore on its first day and registered a good figure at Box office window. The film has witnessed growth on its second day and earned Rs 19.25 crore approx and with this, total business of the film stands at around Rs 37.25 crore.
The Hindi version of KGF had growth of 50% approx (Rs 3 crore), which is quite good for Kannada film. In Karnataka, KGF has earned Rs 12 crore, in Nizam/Andhra Rs 2.50 crore, in Tamil Nadu Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 50 Lakhs in Kerala.
Shah Rukh’s Zero needs to show good growth on Sunday in order to set a respectable first-weekend business. The first weekend collections is likely to end around Rs 55 crore approx which would be decent.
Let’s see how the Zero performs in the upcoming days. Apparently, KGF has released in five languages and surely dominating Box Office like a boss.
